You may erase anything that is written by pencil. But can you erase something that is printed by inkjet or laser printer? An engineering team at the University of Cambridge, UK have developed a new way to recycle printed documents. They simply vaporized the toner off the page by using laser pulses. By this process, you can erase the whole page and leave the page ready to be printed on again.
Japan’s Toshiba has a special laser printer that relies on a blue toner to erase almost everything on a printed paper. But for this, you have to use heat. Check out the video below.
David Leal-Ayala and his colleagues at Cambridge picked up the idea from that theory. They used a laser pulse to ink off a page. They found some of the letter have been laser vaporized. In the above picture, ‘e, x and t’ multiple toner colors have been laser vaporized. As till now, no one claimed for the patent of this innovative idea, so the question rises, will this technology be commercially be found in our life?
Well, we have to wait for the answer. But if you guys think, this technology is really worthy, then you can leave your comment below in the box. Your comment might be counted as vote and hope so, you will really see this technology in future.
