Nokia and Cambridge University have been working around 5 years on Nanotechnology applications for cell phones. Nokia is always desperate to create something different and amazing. After the announcement of much-ballyhooed Morph phone in 2008, Nokia created many innovative mobiles. Now along with Cambridge University and Nanotechnology, Nokia is focusing on waterproof handsets anew. Nokia is using more upgraded materials and technology to create their upcoming waterproof mobile phones.
Nokia earned lots of praise from all by making longer lasting batteries. Nokia introduced itself with us anew after publishing an entire book on the subject ‘Nanotechnologies for Future Mobile Devices‘ in 2010. Though Nokia has already invented water proof mobiles, but they have lack of improved and advanced nanotechnology. Now, Nokia’s focus on waterproof mobiles with advanced nanotechnology grabbed the mobile users attention.
As, Nokia is going to present water proof mobile using nanotechnology, old things coming in a new wrap, so some people have become really fed up because they had more high expectations from Nokia. It could be a great news for those people, who have ruined their phones by dropping it in water, specially in toilet. Anyway, who are fed up, may be Chris Bower, the principal scientist at Nokia Research Center in Cambridge, can make them calm down. Check out the video below that shows how coating of the super-hydrophobic material can manage to help a phone dropped in water survive.
Let’s see, what surprise do Nokia have for us in future. But do you think, Nokia can retain its value to us if they bring this type old things in a new form? Please do share with us.
