Droid X was launched on android 2.1 (unfortunately not 2.2) will officially get android 2.2 Froyo blessing this summer, as confirmed during launch. To only bolster the fact, an internal document has been leaked over renowned forum which says that the original Motorola Droid 1 will also get Android 2.2 Froyo (and Flash 10.1) sometime in July.
The Android 2.2 ROM is much faster than Android 2.1 and almost 2 to five times faster than 2.1 eclair.
