Mobile maker Nokia launched its Lumia Phone-based free streaming music service “Nokia Music” last year in September. And now, Nokia has announced that it is planning to launch a new premium music service called Nokia Music+ within the next couple of weeks for its Lumia phones only. The Nokia Music+ is better than Nokia Music and will offer better price than many of the competitors out on the market.
The Nokia Music+ streaming service will allow unlimited music skip to and unlimited downloads from the company’s Mix Radio song discovery service. Besides, Nokia Music+ service will offer “lyrics” for users’ mobile devices. There will be higher-quality streams, allowing downloads at eight times the existing quality. Added to these, users will also have the option of utilizing this service on any web connected device using a standard Internet browser.
Only Nokia Lumia phone holders of any model will enjoy the Nokia Music+ service at a monthly charge of $3.99 in the U.S. or €3.99 in Europe. Nokia mentioned that its Music+ service will be rolling out in the next few weeks. But it’s unknown at this point when it will come to the U.S.
