Finland Sets Mobile Phone Throwing Record

How frustrated you are with your mobile phone? Do you think it is invaded to much in your life? Do you feel the urge to throw it away time to time? If yes, then how far can you throw it away? The current world record is 101.46 meter. Yes, that’s right. And, it has been sat at this year’s Mobile Phone Throwing World Championships held in Savonlinna, Finland.


Mobile Throwing Championship

The world record for throwing mobile phone is set by Ere Karjalainen of Finland. Undoubtedly, he is this year’s champion of the competition. He was followed by South Africa’s Jeremy Gallop who has thrown his phone as far as 94.97 meter.

The Mobile Phone Throwing World Championships is being held from the year 2000. The organizers think the competition as a unique opportunity to “pay back all the frustrations and disappointments caused by these modern equipments.” Organizers have also said that there were no doping tests that were conducted. The organizers also acknowledge that “Hope, anticipation, passion and frustration concentrates on mobile phone.” And, they pointed these as the primary reason why people throw mobile phones.
