Samsung has made the new “Nexus Two” which is real.Gizmodo has pulled some photos and details on what they are calling the new Google branded phone, possibly codenamed Nexus Two.
The main difference bwtween the Nexus One and this new “Nexus” phone, is the way that Google tried to sell an market the Nexus One. We now all know Google was unsuccessful at the Google Phone experiment. So if this new device is going to be a real “Nexus” branded phone, Google would need to come up with a new way to sell the unlocked handset. Google’s Andy Rubin has said that Google is still trying to find ways to bring unlocked Android phones to the U.S. market, but have yet to of found a successful formula.
According to gizmodo,It’s black and shiny, built with glossy plastic. Up close, though, it’s “got this curve to it.” While the screen, which our source thinks is the same 4-inch AMOLED affair from the Galaxy series, is flat, the front is “sort of concave” with hard edges. And the back is curved. The tapering makes it feel thinner than Galaxy S, though it might be about the same thickness. “It feels really similar to the Galaxy S in a lot ways.” (Note: Our mockup is very approximate.)
Aside from the 4-inch LED screen and new camera, the “Nexus Two” will be running the latest version of Android, a.k.a Gingerbread. Gizmodo’s source said that the phone was running a stock build of Android that was “still really buggy.”
The biggest rumors seem to be that the unveiling of the Nexus Two will be on November 8th on the Samsung’s event in New York City.
