Apple has definitely been the one single tech company that has been continuously in the news throughout the last year. The iPhone and iPad craze that is driving the entire tech world crazy with it’s magic, has suddenly made Apple and all things Apple very important and significant. Now, Harris Poll Reputation Quotient study reveals that Apple has emerged as the most reputable brand, surpassing Google to secure the spot at the top of this list.
Last year’s winner for the rank of being the most reputable brand of the year was Google. This year, Apple has taken the crown and it’s definitely not a surprise. Google has been pushed down to the second position whereas Coca Cola has secured the third spot. The fact that Coca Cola secured the third spot is a bit surprising because Coca Cola ranked 15th last year.
Amazon’s Kindle Fire has definitely earned it a lot of points when it comes to reputation. It has moved from eighth to fourth position. The executive vice president of Harris interactive, Robert Fronk is of the view that with time, companies with excellent presence in multiple fields are emerging as the most reputable ones. He said, “Companies like Apple, Google, and Amazon.com combine innovation and leadership across multiple business areas, giving them true competitive advantage.”
And by the way, the top spot this year was not the only achievement by Apple. Apple’s overall score at the study this year happens to be the highest ever score achieved by a company at Harris Poll study. This puts yet another record in Apple’s lap and raises the bar a notch higher still for rest of the companies.
