We were amazed by this kid when we heard about his project in Reddit, earlier today. This high school senior with a Honda S2000 has undertaken a project only “gear heads” can show the courage to take down. But, Juan seems to be courageous enough to take on a project with such high-caliber. Readers are probably getting impatient to know, what the hell the project is about? Juan is going to change his Honda S2000 into an electric vehicle putting 782 horsepower in the wheels.
Juan has already started working to bring about changes. To change the car’s combustion, he is using 104 battery packs. The battery pack consists of 4 parallel string of 104 cells in series. The cells are then divided into 8 modules delivering 1600-2000 ampere of current with a 343.2 volt traction pack. That sums up to 686.4 kilowatt or 920 horsepower. Juan has assumed 85% efficiency which makes the available power in the wheels to be 782 horsepower. However, Juan is not sure about how many miles will the car go on a full charge?
Well we have to wait, until he finishes the work. We wish him good luck.
