Whenever it comes to any entry level smartphones and mobile devices, usually we expect to find a slew of devices to choose from, as there are a dozen of manufacturers out there who would love to see their devices in our hands. However, Philippine based mobile phone and electronics company Cherry Mobile recently has come up with a new phone called Thunder. The company believes that the phone has such features that can attract people very easily.
Cherry Mobile’s Thunder is a budget smartphone that runs on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. The phone measures 36 mm x 65 mm x 9.9 mm and packs a 4.5-inch FWGA (480 x 854) display at 218ppi, a dual-core 1GHz MediaTek processor, 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal memory. Internal memory can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD memory card slot.
Besides, there will be a 5MP rear camera and 0.3MP front facing VGA camera. Thunder can support dual SIM. Calls and messages can be received on both, but only one SIM card can remain active at a time during a voice call. SIM 1 lets users connect to 3G or HSDPA, while SIM 2 only supports GPRS speeds. Except these features, the phone also supports Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth, 3G/HSDPA and GPS.
The cost of this phone is 4,999 PhP which is equivalent to US$125. If you are interested to get this phone, you can buy it from online retailer Lazada.
