Pentax Launches All-New Optio WG-3 And WG-10 Rugged Camera

For the adventurous ones who dare to tread into risky adventures, here are some good news. Pantex has released two new models of rugged camera, both of which come with additional features and an even better look. Of course, both pack the rugged looks that makes Pentax releases a favorite for those who have a fondness for rough and tough.

WG-10

The two new models that Pentax has released are listed below. According to the company, both will become available this week at CP+.

WG-10:
Have you tried WG-1 by Pentax? If yes, you will be able to notice the stark similarity that WG-10 bears to it. And that shouldn’t be a surprise, given the fact that WG-10 is actually a rebranded version of WG-1. The features in WG-10 are more or less the same as those in WG-1 except that WG-10 has a red tint to its outlook and will be made available at a price of $180. According to Pentax, the new model will be available exclusively at Target stores and the official online store.

WG-3
WG-3:
WG-3 is the more intriguing release in that it is an original product and comes packed with a whole load of new features. It includes a 16-megapixel, 1/2.3-inch BSI CMOS sensor as well as a 3-inch LCD which lets you get a good view of the shot images. Moreover, you also get to shoot 1080/30p or 720/60p videos.

The new model is water-proof up to 14 meters, can stand a fall of up to 2 meters and doesn’t catch a cold at temperatures as low as -10 degrees Celsius. Pentax will be rolling out the basic version for a price of $300 whereas an upgraded version, including Qi wireless charging and GPS, will have a going price of $350.

WTH do you mean good looks?

They look embarrasingly like Pentax was trying to design the mother of all ugly tennis shoes!

Whats particularly bad is the fact that its “design” just for weird decoration’s sake, it doesn’t follow any function…
    Sad for any industrial designer…
