Entwicklungsschmiede UG (haftungsbeschrankt) & Co KG, has launched Durion Word Game 1.2 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users.
The Scrabble inspired app will be selling for only 99 cents, instead of its regular $1.99. Durion provides lots of mental challenge as users try to form words from a group of letters, in five seconds or less for seven days.
The low sale price is being offered for seven days in celebration of the game’s debut in the U.S. marketplace. Originally from Germany, Durion has been adapted to an English speaking market, so that North American players can share in the fun and challenge.
Durion gamers must think and act fast to form words from letters provided within the five second time limit. According to developer Holger Frank, “The basic inspiration was the mother of all offline word games – Scrabble. We mixed the letter-combination with a time factor and a couple of strategic add-ons, and Durion was born.”
The idea is to develop a personal strategy to increase playing speed and scores. The faster that more correct words are built, the higher the points and the better chance a user has to see their name on the national or international leaderboards.
