Maingear announced the launch of two new laptops, the Alt-15 and Alt-17. Both high-performance laptops come with Nvidia’s Optimus technology and are available with Intel Core i5 and i7 mobile processors.The Alt-15 in a 15.6″ machine, whereas the Alt-17 has a 17.3″ LCD.
The Alt-15 and Alt-17 have a discrete Nvidia GeForce GT 425M GPU, a 1,920-by-1,080 resolution screen (with a 16:9 aspect ratio), and can be configured with up to 8GB of DDR3 memory. Other configuration options include up to a 512GB solid-state drive or up to a 500GB Hybrid SSD hard drive. The two laptops also have a 3-in-1 media card reader, fingerprint reader, and 2-megapixel webcam.
There’s also built-in biometric security via fingerprint reader and Kensington locks for security, not to mention a USB 3.0 port on each and an optional Blu-ray drive.
Whether you are into gaming or surfing the web, this two new Maingear laptops will be great. As you can see both notebooks are nearly identical except for its size. These notebooks are now available with a price of $ 1,049 for the ALT-15 and $ 1,099 for the ALT-17.
