A new notebook named CF-19 has been added in Panasonic’s Toughbook product line. The fully rugged laptop is powered by Intel’s latest Ivy Bridge core i5 processors. The convertible laptop can be turned into a tablet PC too. This rugged notebook has a dual touch LCD which is also known as sunlight-viewable touch, capable to deliver of brightness up to 6000-nit in direct sunlight. As for the connectivity, optional 4G LTE adapters are available. This dust-proof, shock-proof and heat-proof convertible is in compliance with MIL STF 810G military standards. The CF-19 will be launched in July 2012 and it is priced at €2,950 ($3,727).
The Toughbook 19 integrates a 2MP camera, a backlit keyboard (emissive or rubber), a GPS receiver, a Gobi 2000 mobile broadband and a dual touch LCD (touchscreen and digitizer). The rugged laptop can sustain a 6-foot drop. It is a IP65 certified design with a full magnesium alloy case, which ensures that the Toughbook 19 will stand up to the most rigorous environments.
