The Lumia 900 is a wonderfully designed smartphone by Nokia available with AT&T connections. The only drawback was that the phone packs a Windows 7.5, upgradable only to Windows Phone 7.8. The good news is AT&T’s Nokia Lumia 900 owners will be able to get Windows Phone 7.8 OS update from today.
Our friend Windows Phone Central has learned via an internal AT&T email that AT&T will start giving its Lumia 900 customers a full software update to 7.8 OS from Jan 30, Wednesday. No doubt, Nokia Lumia 900 is a dashing smartphone to sport the 7.8 OS upgrade.
The update includes new start screen, new theme colors, Bing “Image of the Day” lock screen option, improved lock screen accidental wipe protection, quality and security enhancements, marketplace enhancements, and API enhancements. Here’s a video for you in which Windows Phone 7.8 gets previewed running on a Lumia 900.
