LG announced its new mobile phone GD880 that stylish modern design with intelligent features into a single small package, the company claims as the smallest and slimmest handset with 3.2 inch full touchscreen display on the market today.
Inside, the LG GD880 Mini is an HSDPA device with maximum download speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps, it supports WiFi, comes with integrated GPS, a multimedia player, microSD expandable memory, Bluetooth and an FM radio.
The lack of buttons, metal finishings and square corners make it look like it’ll be part of their more “premium” range of handsets, so expect to pay a pretty penny if you want it PAYG, otherwise it’ll most likely go for the usual month contract fees when it goes on sale in March in Europe—with worldwide availability expected shortly. I’m going to harass LG for confirmation of the OS, but with Mobile World Congress starting this weekend, I’m sure we’ll find out a whole load more then.
Features of LG GD880 Mini:
* Large 3.2-inch touch screen with 16:9 aspect ratio
* 5 megapixel camera with an advanced face detection technology
* HSDPA (7.2 Mbps) and Wi-Fi connectivity enabling speedy web browsing experience
* Social Network Connect lets users keeping in touch with online friends
* Built-in applications for easy accessing popular social networks like Facebook and Twitter
* Social Network Feed provides users an instant and automatic updates of their friends and family members on LG Mini’s home screen

Dear Makhliyo,
LG didn’t announce the price tag. But there’s rumor that SIM-free LG GD880 Mini will retail for around €350 to €400 including tax at launch.
LG say that the GD880 Mini should be available in Europe from March 2010 onwards, with other countries worldwide following on later.
