One of the mid-range devices that Sony is touting at MWC 2012 is the Xperia U, a very stylish smartphone. One of the defining features of Xperia U is the sheer awesome quality of sound. With xLoud(TM) and Sony 3D sound technology, you are sure to get a really high quality, clear sound experience. Using DLNA, Xperia U can also be used to stream music straight to wireless speakers.
What this device offers is a 3.5-inch display powered up by Mobile BRAVIA Engine. The device is fired up by a 1GHz dual-core processor and comes with a 5-megapixel camera which offers all the usual Sony cookies which include a unique fast capture, capturing 2D and 3D panoramas with Sony technology and HD recording.
The device is available in two colors, white and black. You also get pink and yellow exchangeable caps to go with the device on purchase. The OS used by the Xperia U is Android 2.3 Gingerbread with promises from Sony that it will be upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich by the second quarter of 2012. For a mid-range smartphone, this is definitely a really cool one.
