A few hours before iPad Mini pre-orders went live last night the online Apple Store closed in preparation for the pre-sale session. Once the clock struck 12:00 a.m. Pacific time — orders went live. Although pre-sales have only been live for less than 12 hours, Apple has already sold out of its white & silver iPad Mini stock.
The online Apple Store in North America indicates white & silver model iPad Minis will not ship out to the public for two-weeks. When sales went live, all Wi-Fi model iPad Minis had an estimated delivery date of November 2nd. As of now, only black slated iPad Minis will still ship out to the public on the November 2nd release date.
Whether you’re looking to purchase a 16, 32, or 64 gigabyte iPad Mini white & silver model, they’re all out of stock. Anyone wishing to purchase the white slated model will have to wait in-line at a local Apple retail store the morning of Friday, November 2nd.
It’s not unusual for Apple product shipment estimates to slip within 24 hours of pre-sale. The iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, and iPad 3 all experienced similar shipping situations.
