Within a few days of it’s launch, it is being reported that Kindle Fire is experiencing a number of problems. With its exquisite looks and very luring price-tag, analysts had predicted that this device will certainly experience a wild-fire sales. Can the reports issues and bugs dampen this fire?
Although the reviews and initial feedback on Kindle Fire has been overwhelmingly positive, it seems that Amazon may be in for some disappointments. According to a number of users on Amazon’s support forums, the device is experiencing a number of problems.
Problems with wi-fi connectivity:
Users have reported that the device frequently disconnects from a wi-fi network or gives a very spotty connectivity. In fact, some users have stated that the device simply refuses to connect to a wi-fi network. It is also being said that as soon as you turn off the display, the wi-fi also automatically turns off. This can be a problem for many users who want connectivity even while the display is off. For instance, for those who stream music online without necessarily turning on the display, this may no longer be possible. No word from Amazon has arrived on this so far yet a number of users on the same forums have posted possible solutions. These include restarting the router, restarting the device itself or changing to a static IP.
Apparently, Amazon will have to fix this bug in the coming days with an update but having problems with such basic services as wi-fi connectivity within a few days of a much-anticipated launch is not very welcome by the users. One can only hope that Amazon will be quick to resolve this problem.
