Facebook To Launch Job Posting Board

According to a newswire by Dow Jones published in Nasdaq, the social networking giant Facebook is planning to launch its own job board later this summer. This board will aggregate job listings of third-party providers and will make them available for search by Facebook users. The social networking giant seems to be keen into taking its share in the $4.3 billion global online recruitment industry.

Already three job posting companies such as BranchOut, Jobvite, and Work4 Labs have shown their interests about Facebook’s upcoming job board. Some companies have started telling their clients about the job board which may launch as soon as early August.

People familiar with the matter said, the new attempt does not yet signal that Facebook is creating a full-blown entry into the recruiting market. The social network might be running down a test. It is also not clear whether the postings will be integrated into Facebook users’ news feed or whether the postings will only exist in a new section of the website.

At present, Facebook has no plans to monetize from the service. But it would ultimately search for monetization options from the service if it proves to be a hit.

Interesting, FB, has all of this personal information about it’s users, now it want to get their non-social information. I will not give out any of this information to Fb. Especially, if they want you to upload your resume and possibly your social security number.

I think it will be a great place. When we upload our resume to jobs site then we don’t think about the security. Because we are bounded.
