Facebook 2.0 finally brings push notifications to Windows Phone 7 and for those of you that’ve been waiting with baited breath, included are notifications for: messages, wall posts, feed comments and replies, photo tags and replies, or in short about everything your addiction requires. Version 2.0 adds push notifications and live tile support to the app, as well as improves scrolling and overall behavior and also users can now opt to have notifications in both toast and live tile form…………
Microsoft released version 2.0 of its Facebook app for Windows Phone and the biggest improvement is undoubtedly the addition of Push Notifications. You can now turn on toasts and/or a live tile count for the notifications. If you’ve got the Windows Phone Marketplace live tile pinned to your start screen, you should have already gotten a notice that an update is available. The Push Notifications feature is very easy to customize. You can choose to be notified about a new Message, Wall Post, Feed comment, Feed comment reply, Photo tag, Photo comment, Tagged photo comment, Photo comment reply, and so on. All of those are optional notifications, meaning you have complete control over what the app notifies you about. The app reportedly feels a lot smoother and the performance improvements in the app don’t hurt either. Facebook for Windows Phone 2.0 is available in the Windows Marketplace.
