Softbank Offering Free Phone To Japan Tsunami Orphans and Free Replacement for Lost iPhones

After the catastrophic earthquakes and tsunami in Japan, SoftBank founder and CEO Masayoshi Son has announced to provide free phones to all orphaned children with all call costs up to an age of 18 including free replacement to all lost or damaged iPhones.

During the trip, Son announced to that Softbank will will cover a year’s worth of living costs and also provide job positions for the 1,200 people to be relocated to Takeo in Saga.

Additionally, Son is using Softbank’s “Let’s Do It” campaign site — a tracker for his “Let’s Do It” tasks posted on Twitter, each accompanied by a completion status indicator — to crowdsource requests for supporting earthquake victims.

Son is effectively using Twitter as a social tool to reach out his fans for suggesting any new way they think could help the earthquake victims. This is an inspirational move showing greatness towards humanity.
