Apple recently revealed that a small number of its corporate Mac machines were targeted by hackers. Right on the heels of this announcement, the company has rolled out a Java security update for its Mac users.
When Apple revealed the recent hack episode, it also assured that it has investigated the whole incident and that thankfully, no data was stolen by the hackers. As to the method used by hackers to break entry into these machines, Apple revealed, “Apple has identified malware which infected a limited number of Mac systems through a vulnerability in the Java plug-in for browser.”
It is evidently because of this that the company has now rolled out the Java security update. Java has been under a lot of heat recently due to virtually infinite security vulnerabilities found in it. Oracle has desperately tried to patch these loopholes but there seems to be no end to those.
