Mycestro — The Next Generation 3D Mouse

Although we have seen PC mouse with a real spider inside, mouse usable on any surface and more, unfortunately all were traditional hand mouse. But now, it’s time for a computer mouse revolution. It’s time for the next generation 3D mouse, called Mycestro, which can be worn on finger tips!


The Next Generation 3D Mouse - Mycestro™

Mycestro is a Bluetooth enabled 3D mouse which is made to be worn on finger. It is designed by Nick Mastandrea. It is a very light weight mouse, and it can work from a maximum distance of 30 feet. This 3D mouse consists of a touch sensitive panel with an internal battery. Mycestro can be activated by users’ thumb only. To use the Mycestro, users simply need to touch anywhere on the panel. Users can even control the cursor position by moving their hand in the direction they want it to go.

To make selections, users just need to release the touch panel and then tap it again on the left, middle or right button section as per their need. Users can simply slide their thumb up or down on the panel to scroll up or down. When users’ will not touch the Mycestro, the cursor and cursor function will remain “pause” until the users start to use it again. The internal battery of this mouse can be charged via USB port. With full charge, the battery can run 8 hours for normal use.

Mycestro is compatible with PCs, Andriod and iOS devices. The device is currently supported in Windows XP/Windows 7/Windows 8/Mac and Linux. Right now, Mycestro is seeking funds for $100,000 through Kickstarter. But the good news is 2,610 backers have already funded a total amount of $219,390 (as of writing).

Interested backers can buy a Mycestro for $79 (White) or $99 (Black, Cyan, Magenta or Yellow). The funding will end on March 29, 2013. Watch the video below to see how it works.

    Are your fingers going to start looking strange like in the pictures from using that mouse?

    Also, the owner of those hands has a nutrition problem as can be seen from the fingernails that look like a tiny version of corrugated metal. He should go see a nutritionist before he contracts something serious from malnutrition. Probably won’t notice anything for years, till suddenly, he doesn’t know what hit him…
