In a world where tablets and laptops are becoming increasingly popular, desktop computers have become redundant. And a lot of accessories that are usually used with them have grown outdated. However, external mouses are  still very popular primarily because of the rather inadequate performance of trackpads and touchscreens.

A lot of users tend to prefer keeping an external mouse, usually an optical mouse, even when they have trackpad on their laptops. The reason is simple: a trackpad is not as efficient or easy to use as a mouse is.

One problem with using an external mouse is that it becomes hard to use on all surfaces.  So if you are a professional, you may have to carry around a mousepad, together with your laptop, to use it properly. Now, designers Seunghoon Shin and Chang Seok Kim have introduced a very cool mouse concept which attends to this problem.

They have named their idea the ‘Arc Mouse concept.’ The name is self-explanatory in that this mouse is arc shaped and is equally robust on a number of different surfaces. For instance, you can easily use it on your jeans while using your laptop. And besides since its wireless, it becomes all the more easier to use.

Also, most contemporary mouses are so small that after using them for a while, your hand starts aching. This has also been taken care of in the Arc Mouse concept. The shape of the mouse is such that your hand grips it well and can easily use it for hours without feeling any fatigue. While it remains a concept for now, one hopes that a vendor would take up the idea and turn it into reality.
