Facebook recently released version 6.7 of its iOS app. Within hours, users started reporting problems with the updated version, which soon lead to the release of version 6.7.1. But the new version brings even more problems on board, with many reporting that they can’t download it at all.
The new version from the social network was apparently meant to bring new icons to the Facebook for iOS app. Moreover, it also packed support for a number of new languages. This is precisely why as soon as Facebook released the new version, iOS users were quick to download it.
Many of them were disappointed, however, to find out that as soon as they installed the updated version, it caused the app to crash. This was reported by a huge number of users, which is probably why Facebook was quick to dish out version 6.7.1 of the app.
The change log of this latest update contains nothing but ‘bug fixes.’ In other words, the new version was released with no new features at all. Rather, it was meant to take care of the bugs and problems that were originally discovered in version 6.7 of the app.
Unfortunately for Facebook, the 6.7.1 update has been an even greater disaster. Users have tried to download it from the App Store and failed. The notification that was displayed on the screen during such failed download attempts read, “Unable to Download App. ‘Facebook’ can not be downloaded at this time.’
According to varying reports, if you have been facing such a problem with downloading Facebook for iOS V 6.7.1, a possible solution may be to hit the ‘Update All’ button in app Update section of the App Store. It may or may not work. In any case, we expect Facebook to release yet another update of their iOS app soon.
