Kodak has added a new all-in-one printer, ESP 3.2, in their budget multifunction printer line up. The ESP 3.2 multifunction printer delivers print, copy and scan functionality in a compact frame. This printer gives touch screen access to a 2.4-inch color display that can also make light photo edits. ESP 3.2 also features Wi-Fi connected cloud services, i.e. you can now connect to the printer from your smartphone or tablet over Wi-Fi.

EVI, a new tablet manufacturer from France, has launched an Android 4.0 tablet branded Yzi for an affordable price. The 10-inch tablet is definitively not a processing powerhouse but features some moderate specs. And, the user interface is fully translated in French. You have probably figured it out by now – Yzi is available in France only, with a retail price tag of €159 (~$203).

Sign language is largely used by deaf and mute people for communication purposes. It’s a combination of sign patterns including body language, orientation and movement of arms which makes communication possible without the use acoustic sounds or written words. Understanding sign language is a totally different ballgame. However, a trio of engineering students from Cornell University have come up with the future forward Sign Language Translator Glove which uses accelerometers, contact sensors and flex sensors for translating complex finger gestures and hand movements into written letters and acoustic sounds.

Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform is slowly gaining traction in the smartphone market.
