VLC Beta For Android Available, Plays Almost Every Format You Know About

VLC Media Player from VideoLAN is one of the most popular media players around. After the huge success of its desktop app, the company is now focusing on another popular platform – Android. Recently, VideoLAN has released its VLC Beta (NEON version) for Android devices. It supports almost any multimedia files as well as discs, devices, and network streaming protocols. This version is not stable and is a bit slower. Currently, it supports ARMv7 based devices only.

VideoLAN did not mention the possible release date of its final version, even they did not publish any news in its main website about VLC Beta for Android. According to the Google Play page VLC Beta, current version is 0.0.1, is 7.1 MB large, and requires Android is 2.1 and up.
