OS X Mountain Lion, just been released by Apple for developers, has brought along a whole lot of many awesome features. One feature which, in particular, has evoked a huge response and awe from tech enthusiasts is that of AirPlay Mirroring. This particular features allow content from a device to be showed on a much large display so that even when the device is not capable of high-resolution content, the displayed content is rendered according to the display. Watch the video below.

AirPlay Mirroring actually lets you tunnel whatever is being currently displayed on your Mac screen directly to the set-top box of Apple TV and all this, wirelessly.. This is then displayed on whatever display is being used as Apple TV. It is pretty cool in fact and has virtually infinite uses. You can wirelessly send content from your Mac directly to a projector’s screen during, say, a presentation.

Also, if you are using an Apple TV of current generation, the output of the device can’t be greater than 720p, at least now. So the display quality of the content at your Apple TV will not go beyond 720p. However, as we have heard, Apple is gearing up to release Apple TV devices which will support 1080p content, hopefully this limitation too will soon be eliminated.

A video has been brought together which shows the true power and magic of AirPlay Mirroring. And as it is, it seems only the start of things. However, it requires a software update for  Mountain Lion beta users to mirror their displays on Apple TV through AirPlay Mirroring. Here’s the video:
