For long, Microsoft has offered a number of games such as Solitaire, Minesweeper and Mahjong on Windows PCs. The company has now announced that Windows Phone 8 users can enjoy the same games on their handsets, for free.

The announcement comes as part of the holiday deals from the tech giant. The classic Windows game such as Solitaire and Minesweeper have long been a favorite among PC users. Since the games came as part of the Windows OS and were otherwise free, they were accessible to all PC users.

Now the same free accessibility is being offered on the Windows Phone 8 platform. Starting from today, all the three classic games can be downloaded on Windows Phone 8 handsets. To make things even more interesting, you can sync the games across Windows PCs, tablets and smartphones.

Once you sync the games across multiple Windows machines and devices, you can pause a given game at a Windows 8 PC and then resume it from your Windows Phone 8 handset. Moreover, the games have been upgraded with Xbox leaderboards, which gives the users a chance to highlight your in-game achivements.

If you have a Windows Phone 8 handset, don’t miss the opportunity and avail it at the earliest. Hit this link and download the games straight to your handset.
