After installing iOS 6.1.1 in iDevices, some users complained that they were having Microsoft Exchange calendar bug issues. So yesterday, Apple released iOS 6.1.2 that promises to “fix Exchange calendar bug issues.”
After the release of iOS 6.1, many iOS users started to update. But many of them later reported that they were having battery drainage and overheating issues since installing iOS 6.1. So Apple released a new version of iOS, 6.1.1 to fix the issues. Users started to update to 6.1.1. However, most of the users still complained that their newly updated iPhone or iPad were “causing excessive logging” on the Microsoft Exchange calendar server; they were having Microsoft Exchange calendar bug issues. To fix this issue, yesterday Apple released iOS 6.1.2 and said that the update will “fix” the “Exchange calendar bug that caused increased network activity and reduced battery life.”
The iOS 6.1.2 update is of 12.8MB in size. iOS users looking to update can do so by navigating to the Settings > General > Software Update and tapping on Download and Install. If you’d like to download the update file manually, you can do so here.
Let’s hope it doesn’t bring along any new bugs. But, ArsTechnica has found some users complaining after downloading and installing 6.1.2 that the update does not fix the “passcode bug”. Moreover, iOS 6.1.2 does not fix the “lockscreen vulnerability.” Apple said that it would remedy the issues in future updates.
