Yesterday, Acer held a press event in New York City and revealed some new devices that will be coming to consumers shortly. Besides revealing Aspire R7 Windows 8 laptop-tablet convertible whose display can be moved in any side, Acer also unveiled Aspire P3 Ultrabook, a Windows 8 Ultrabook convertible which delivers all the benefits of an Ultrabook in a unique design that easily transforms into a tablet.
Aspire P3 Ultrabook weighs 790g (without keyboard cover) or 1.39kg (with keyboard cover), and measures 295.4 mm x 190.7 mm x 9.95 mm (11.63-inch x 7.51-inch x 0.39-inch). The keyboard cover is slightly wider and taller and adds another 9.8 mm to the thickness. The Acer Aspire P3 runs Windows 8 operating system and is powered by either an Intel core i3 or i5 processor. The Ultrabook features an 11.6-inch HD in-plane switching (IPS) display providing a resolution of 1366 x 768-pixel and can be moved to 170-degree viewing angles. It also packs a 60GB or 120GB SSD drive, 2GB or 4GB DDR3 RAM and Intel HD 4000 graphics.
The machine has a 720p front-facing camera and a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera. Its whooping 40Wh battery provides up to six hours of power on a single charge. In addition, it supports 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, micro HDMI, and a single full-size USB 3.0 port. The keyboard connects via Bluetooth.
Users can get an Aspire P3 Ultrabook having a Core i3 CPU, 4GB of RAM and a 60GB SSD at a price of $799.99 USD.
