Next MacBook Air May Come With Haswell Processor

For few days, we have been hearing a rumor that MacBook Air, the most Mobile Mac in every way, shape, and form, will be redesigned like the MacBook Pro and there will be some internal as well as external changes like the Macbook Pro. And now sometimes reliable Taipei-based Digitimes has reported that 2013 MacBook Air may come with Haswell processor.

MacBook Air

Last year, Apple announced to bring a new MacBook Air. Later we saw a comparison between the 13-inch MacBook Air and other Ivy Bridge Ultrabooks. So naturally question raises, will there be any changes in new MacBook Air? Well, we don’t know, but seems like DigiTimes knows that.

The not-always-reliable DigiTimes has mentioned, the “industrial design will not see any major changes” in 2013. Though, DigiTimes did not mention about the display of 2013 MacBook Air, it has mentioned that Intel will introduce its fourth generation Core “Haswell” processor which will include a Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) at the CES 2013 in January. This Haswell processor is much better than the past generation’s Core processors. And this Haswell processor will be used into the new MacBook Air by mid of 2013.

We believe that if that really happens, then along with Haswell processor, MacBook Air will have a Retina Display like the current MacBook Pro (13-inch) with edge-to-edge glass.
