Acer Will Launch CloudMobile Ice Cream Sandwich Phone At MWC

Acer has been keeping a rather low profile on the smartphone end and there have been barely any remarkable products by the company on that front. Now, Acer has suddenly surprised everyone by unveiling a few details about a smartphone that it intends to launch at Mobile World Congress. The device has been termed ‘CloudMobile’ and it will be tooling the latest Android OS, Ice Cream Sandwich.

Acer didn’t provide many details about the device. Apparently, it intends to do this with a bang at MWC. What we expect is that Acer will put a huge stress on the benefits of using AcerCloud. The name of the device suggests that it will be integrated well with Acer’s cloud services and that Acer will try to cash precisely that point by projecting it as a key feature. Acer will probably cite this mobile as a fine tool to keep your data secure and organized at AcerCloud.

There have been some rumors about the specifications of the device too. It is being said that the phone has a 4.3-inch HD display and is 10-mm thick. It comes with Dolby sound. Although it will be actually unveiled at MWC, the phone won’t be available for purchase until the 3rd quarter of this year. The fact that it has Ice Cream Sandwich will certainly cause some sensation but Acer will be pitted against some very competent rivals.
