LG G2 Announced, The First Device Under Its New “G” Family Of Smartphones

We saw a leaked image of an unidentified LG smartphone in May of this year. It was said that the leaked image was of LG G2 smartphone. And all on a sudden, LG has confirmed the name – LG G2. This phone is the first device under LG’s new “G” family of smartphones.

LG G2

LG has mentioned that its next flagship device will be known as the G2, and the company is dropping the “Optimus” moniker in order to strengthen its brand. According to LG, G2 will feature a “user-friendly and innovative” mobile experience along with Snapdragon 800 processor and support for 150Mbps LTE-Advanced.

Apart from these info LG has revealed nothing about G2. But rumors say, LG G2 will run on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) and will sport a 5.2-inch touchscreen display, 2GB RAM and 13-megapixel rear camera.

LG is going to hold an event on August 7 in New York City. We assume, LG will unveil G2 at the event.
