Remember the mysterious Motoroal XT1080? It was spotted with another Motorola device at FCC couple of days ago. A XDA Developers forum member, called xavierk75, has posted a snapshot of the XT1080 with the title “Motorola Droid Ultra XT1080 is Here!”
The XT1080 seems to be a Droid MAXX variant with a beefier battery, and it is probably coming under the Droid Ultra line. We’ve been hearing the name Droid Ultra for a while from folks, and FCC filings tell us the XT1080 has everything a phone would need to run on Verizon’s 3G and LTE networks, with LTE, EVDO Rev. A and WCDMA (850/900/1900/2100), in addition to NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi 802.11ac. We expect to be hearing something official from Verizon about this soon.
