South Korean tech giant Samsung gave us a sudden surprise on Dec 18, 2012 by unveiling its new Galaxy Grand with 1.2GHz dual-core processor and Android Jelly Bean. Now, the company has announced to bring another Galaxy Grand specially designed for South Korea, this time with 1.4GHz quad-core processor and LTE support.
The South Korean version of Galaxy Grand smartphone weighs 169 gram and measures 143.8(l) mm x 77.1(w) mm x 9.8(h) mm. The phone runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and comes with a 5-inch (127.3 mm) WVGA display, 1.4GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front facing camera, 8GB internal storage (can be expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card slot), new TouchWiz UI, T-DMB, USB 3.0, 2,100mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, LTE support, and NFC with S Beam.
Samsung hasn’t mentioned whether this version of the Galaxy Grand will be sold beyond South Korea soon. But it has been mentioned that the handset is set to be available on three Korean carriers at an undisclosed time. The superior version of the Galaxy Grand will cost 350,000 won (around $325).
