Verizon Wireless announced the Samsung Gusto.The Gusto flip phone is an exclusive release from Samsung.Samsung Gusto is an affordable handset that has all the features that should suffice for those who will primarily place phone calls.

The Samsung Gusto is your standard flip phone with a two-inch inner display, mobile web browser, and Bluetooth support. Other features on this entry level handset include:

* 2-inch QVGA inner display and a 1-inch outer display
* VGA Camera with Night Shot, Dedicated Camera Key
* 1xRTT connectivity
* Mobile Web, Mobile Email, Mobile IM, & Chat Capable
* VZ Navigator, Media Center,V CAST Media Manager, Backup Assistant, and City ID capable
* Bluetooth (headset, hands-free, serial port, object push for vCard and vCalendar and phonebook access)
* Voice Commands: Voice Dial, Send TXT Msg, Go To, Check , Contacts, Redial, Driving Mode On, My Verizon, Help
* Embedded Ringtones, Vibrating Alerts & Silent
* Speakerphone
* GPS/E911
* 2.5mm Headset Jack

Gusto also comes with voice enhancement with noise suppression technology, Driving Mode, Fake Call, Bing Search and VZ Navigator.

The clamshell model phone from Samsung will cost you around $20 (not confirmed) with contract and rebate from Verizon Wireless.The phone is available in Verizon’s online store while retail stores will get the device in the coming weeks.

    This is a horribly cheap little piece of $hit phone that can not even transfer the photos you take with the phone to any PC via the USB – yes it has a USB cable – but they did not include the ability to actually do anything other than charge the phone.  DO NOT BUY ONE YOU”LL BE NOTHING BUT DISAPPOINTED.

    even at that price it’s still a ripoff. i got one of these silicon paperweights as a “company phone” and i’m going to raise 14 kinds of hell until it gets replaced with something that is actually usable.
