ZTE’s Another New Cricket Phone For U.S. Market

Chinese cell phone manufacturer ZTE introduced with another phone for the U.S. market. The low-cost phone features 3G bar-style, offers full Web browsing, a QWERTY keyboard for quick messaging, MP3 player and access to popular Cricket services, such as its Cricket Navigator service.The ZTE Memo is an advanced feature phone available on Leap Wireless Cricket service.

The company is expanding its network in U.S. to compete with the big wireless carriers. Cricket this time focuses exclusively on price-sensitive customers in the prepaid market. The phone costs $99.99 and is available for Cricket’s prepaid service.To have this smartphone customers do not have to go for sign a contract for the service. So customers have to pay full price for their phones, that may puts a bit pressure for both the carrier and its phone manufacturers to offer devices at affordable prices.
