Apple May Introduce Siri To iPad With iOS 6

Rumors are abound about Apple’s upcoming release of iOS 6 which is due to happen at its WorldWide Developers Conference starting on June 11th. A lot has been speculated as to what will Apple encapsulate in iOS 6 and what other big announcements may the company make at the occasion. Now, another rather interesting bit of rumor has arrived: that Apple will finally bring its voice-based assistant, Siri, to iPad with the release of iOS 6.

Apple iPad users have been vying for Siri for quite some time. The experience of using Siri on iPhone 4S has been quite good for a lot of people. And many have only wondered what an awesome feeling it would be to ‘talk’ to their iPad and have it do a number of things for them.

As it is, iPad users tend to use their tablet for a whole lot of more things and having a voice-based personal assistant on it would make things a lot more easier and awesome for them. 9to5mac is now reporting that it has been tipped off by a number of sources that Apple finally has plans of bringing Siri to iPad with the release of iOS 6. And this time, it would be the entire Siri, not just bits and pieces of it.

The Siri that will land on iPad will include more or less all the features that are there in the Siri of iPhone 4S, except the phone-specific commands of course. The iPad users will be able to use Music Playback, Reminders, iMessaging, Calendar Managing, E-mailing, Safari integration, Notes and a whole lot more with Siri.

Some had earlier doubted that Siri would work well enough with iPad, speculating that since iPad can’t be brought as close to the speaker’s mouth as a mobile, Siri may be unable to comprehend the commands on iPad. However, the sources talking to 9to5mac have rebuffed these reservations and say that Siri works just perfectly with iPad too.
