Around three weeks ago, we reported that Asus was preparing to release a 7-inch Android tablet branded MeMO Pad soon. But nothing was officially acknowledged then. Now, Asus has confirmed that 7-inch Android tablet “MeMO Pad” really exists by creating an official page of the tablet.
According to the MeMO Pad’s official page, the MeMO Pad tablet weighs 370g and measures 7.72-inch x 4.69-inch x 0.44-inch (196.2 mm x 119.2 mm x 11.2 mm). Asus MeMO Pad tablet will come in three colors – Sugar White, Titanium Grey and Cherry Pink.
The MeMO Pad tablet will run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and have a 7-inch 10-point multi-touch LED-backlit display with 1024 x 600 resolution along with 140 degree viewing angle, 350-nit brightness, a single core 1GHz VIA WM8950 CPU, 1GB RAM, Mali-400 GPU (capable of 1080p video playback and basic 3D), 8GB and 16GB Storage (can be expandable up to 32GB via microSD card slot), 1MP front HD camera capable of 720p HD video capture at 30fps, a 0.81 pound weighs 4270mAh battery that can provide 7 hours of power supply, 5GB of Asus Webstorage space, pre-loaded Asus apps including SuperNote Lite, Asus Launcher and Asus Sync, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, a headphone jack, microphone, a micro USB port, a gyroscope, SonicMaster Audio Technology with Audio Wizard for high-quality sound.
Based on our sources we’re expecting that the MeMO Pad would be launched in April and its price would be $149. But Asus hasn’t acknowledged anything about availability or price.
