Barnes & Noble has brought two new Nook tablets – a 7-inch NOOK HD and a 9-inch NOOK HD+. The tablets are lighter and brighter. NOOK HD features the world’s highest-resolution display for a 7-inch tablet, and NOOK HD+ is the lightest 9-inch tablet in its class. And, the price of the tablets are just awesome. They won’t just take on Kindle Fire HD or Nexus 7, but ready to take down Apple iPad.
The Nook HD 7-inch media tablet delivers HD text, graphics and video experience. The tablet is powered by powerful dual-core 1.3GHz high-speed processor and 1GB RAM. The 7-inch tablet display features advanced IPS display coupled with world-class optical bonding technology. The display resolution is 1440 x 900 pixels, with an amazing 243 pixels per inch and up to 720p HD video playback. Nook HD comes in 8GB and 16GB versions featuring expandable microSD memory storage. And, it weighs only 315 grams.
Nook HD+ is features a 9-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1280 pixels and 256 pixels per inch. Users can enjoy up to 1080p HD video playback.
