Microsoft Offers $99 Complete Warranty For Surface Tablets

According to reviewers, Microsoft Surface tablets are pretty hard to repair. To go with it, Microsoft is offering a $99 ‘Microsoft Complete for Surface’ warranty which essentially covers all kind of damages that your Surface tablet may incur.

It is always a good idea to get a warranty, especially if it is reasonably priced. When it comes to Surface slates, the recent iFixit teardown confirmed that you can forget about ever fixing a Surface tablet on your own. The keep-together components are so many and so strong that you’d soon break the tablet than open it to see inside.

For such a tablet, it is indeed a good idea to get a warranty right away. Microsoft does offer a limited warranty for the Surface tablets by default, but the Complete warranty continues for 2 years.

It covers whatever damage that can come your tablet’s way. If you have broken the display somehow, dropped the tablet, let it fall in water, even if the battery runs dead or any of the port becomes dysfunctional – the warranty has it all covered.

Microsoft is currently offering the complete warranty only through its own retail stores and online. So a good way of laying your hands on the warranty is to get your Surface tablet from a Microsoft retail store and bag the warranty to go with it right away or within 45 days of purchase.
