Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition Available for Purchase in UK

Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition hit the shelves in the UK just in time to catch the final days of this holiday shopping frenzy. The appeal of this smaller member of Motorola Xoom tablets relies on the more portable format and the friendlier price tag, compared to Motorola Xoom 2, costing £330, £50 less than the older brother.

Among technical specification, interested customers won’t find many differences in the Media Edition than the ones that Motorola Xoom 2 features. Aside from the obvious different size and the lack of 3D sound Xoom 2 and Xoom 2 Media Edition are identical. The 8.2 inch display of the newly released Motorola tablet has a resolution of 1280 x 800. Granted, the “Media Edition” nickname tends to be a peculiar choice when the sound and the display are lesser than the ones showed off by other models, but could still be a fun gift to unwrap in the Christmas morning.

Under a smaller size and lightweight appearance (Xoom 2 ME has a comfortable weight of 386 g) this tablet can still pack a lot of power. It has 1GB of RAM and a dual core 1.2 GHz processor which makes fast enough and it can still beat the rivals in its size class. As camera capabilities go, Xoom 2 ME has a rear facing sensor of 5MP and a front facing one with 1.3 MP. Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition is available on Amazon, Expansys and Clove.
