Cervélo P5 : Extra-Ordinary And Super Fast Bicycle With A Hydraulic Brake

Earlier I’ve mentioned about Audi’s Electric Concept Bike, even futuristic flying bicycle too, but never mentioned about Cervélo P5. Cervélo P5 is a fast bicycle which has the most advanced and the most aerodynamic triathlon and time trial bike with an unmatched range of fit, superior hydraulic brakes, and a versatile storage and hydration system.

Cervélo P5 is a racing bicycle. At the Olympic level, a racer’s bike (bicycle) is very important. The more smoothly air flows over a frame and the rider, the less wind resistance the rider will feel and therefore the faster he’ll go. Engineers at Cervélo have used aerospace-grade computational fluid dynamics software and virtual wind-tunnel tests to design the P5. In fact, it is being said that P5 (short form of Cervelo P5) is the most aerodynamic bike ever. The aerodynamic bike Cervelo P5 has four features – Frameset, Aerobar, Brakea and Storage and Hydration.

The P5 weighs 18 pounds. It features a BBright™ bottom bracket for ultimate power transfer and ComfortPly™ technology which removes unnecessary material to reduce vibration and improve ride quality. P5 has the world’s fastest and best-fitting aerobar. The integrated Aduro™ aerobar features 100% hidden cables that eliminate aero drag and engineered cable paths that minimize bends and maximize shifting performance. The hydraulic brakes by Magura generate a lot of attention. In fact, the P5 is the only tri bike in the world featuring a hydraulic brake.

Before constructing the physical model of P5, the team at Cervélo designed, rendered and wind-tunnel-tested dozens of P5 prototypes. The team lowered the handlebars of P5 and added internal hydraulic brake cables. They also created a tapered rear edge on the seat post. It helps to reduce the turbulence off the rider’s backside and allows air to flow more fluidly around the rider. For more of the visit, visit Cervelo.

No doubt, this bike is designed specially for speed and versatility. The price of this bike starts from $6500.
