Google+ Photos App Offers Quick Photo-Sharing For Chromebook Pixel Users

Google recently made a number of significant changes to its social network – Google Plus. The key changes focused on enhancing the visual appeal of the platform by making it look more image-centric. Now, complementing those changes, Google has offered a Google+ Photos appĀ for Chromebook Pixel users.

Google+ Photos app

The new app, specifically created for Chromebook Pixel owners, allows them to quickly upload photos from their Pixel machine to Google+. As soon as you insert the SD card into Chromebook Pixel, the Google+ Photos app will automatically detect these photos and then upload them to the social network. In other words, the app essentially serves as a quick tool which treats your Google+ account as a backup drive and instantly uploads the relevant data to it.

Once the photos have been uploaded, you will be given the option of making them public or keeping them private. Such ease of uploading and sharing photos over Google+ is certainly an enticing feature for Chromebook Pixel users.

As for other Chromebook users, Google has promised that it will be releasing a similar app for non-Pixel machines too. We can expect this app to land in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, we will start seeing reviews about the performance of the Google+ Photos app on Chromebook Pixel machines, which should give us a fair idea of exactly how good the app is. You can download the app here.
