Foxconn Gears Up To Build Apple Television Set

We have long been hearing of an Apple TV set which was supposed to be the next-generation TV. When Steve Jobs said in his biography that he had finally cracked the puzzle of TV set, he surely meant something big.  While Apple has been very quiet about its plans, Foxconn chairman has now revealed that his company is gearing up to produce Apple TV sets.

Foxconn seems genuinely serious and involved in producing Apple TV sets. And for that, Foxconn chairman Terry Gou said, it was ready to acquire a stake in Sharp to gain access to LCD displays that will go into the making of Apple TV sets.

We recently heard a number of rumors about Apple’s upcoming TV set. It is rumored to be including Siri-based voice assistant that will recognize the voice commands of the users and let him navigate the TV accordingly. Also, the TV set is said to be featuring a motion-sensor technology which will make the experience of watching TV all the more amazing.

But so far, most of the information regarding Apple’s TV set is based on rumors and speculation. This, perhaps, is one of the rare official words on the device and since Foxconn’s chairman has stated so, it seems quite true and genuine. Given the fact that Foxconn is already one of the chief suppliers of Apple’s hardware components, it is no wonder that Apple has chosen the company to work on its TV sets too.

Moreover, since Foxconn seems gearing up still to go into the production of the device, we can rest assured that it will take it quite a while before it hits the shelves.
