The legal battle between Samsung and Apple seems to go on a never-ending track. The two have been pitted against each other over patent disputes repeatedly for the last couple of years. Samsung recently included the new iPhone 5 in its lawsuit, and now, Apple has requested the court to include six more Samsung devices to its own lawsuit.
Samsung had also accused Apple of infringing its patents when the iPhone-maker came out with its iPad mini tablet. Apple has now fired back by asking a court in California, where it had originally filed its lawsuit, to include a range of new Samsung products in its claim.
The new Samsung devices that Apple wants the court to include in its lawsuit are Galaxy S III running Android Jelly Bean, Galaxy Note II, Galaxy Tab 8.9 Wi-Fi, Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, Rugby Pro and Galaxy S III mini.
Apple’s lawsuit already cover Galaxy S III. But the company fears that by shipping out a Jelly Bean update on its latest smartphone, Samsung may be able to save it from the lawsuit’s definition. And thus, to make its case fool-proof, Apple has made the specific request.
The court will now judge the merits of Apple’s new request and will then decide whether or not the fresh list of Samsung products should be added to the patent dispute.
