China Telecom Intends To Expand Network In Germany, France and US

China Telecom (CT), the world’s largest CDMA mobile operator plans to expand its network footprint in US and Europe. Though wireless assets are secured in the UK, our Friend Bloomberg reports that France and Germany is their next target. It’s vision is to be more Familiar with own Country’s people with native network along with low cost, as Chinese peoples are wriggling all over the world, mostly in Western Europe.


“Our target customers are the Chinese communities,” Liu Changhai, the China Telecom executive responsible for regional development said. “We are exploring a new market.”

As Olympic Games is going to be held in London in June, so it it the perfect time to Strike the opportunity to Chinese people to recognize themselves and be popular. According to Liu, it is the joint venture between France Telecom SA and Deutsche Telekom AG, that will help China Telecom to become the first Chinese operator to start a mobile virtual network outside China. CT is hardly working for to become popular. No need to say, intensifying competition has led all companies (China United Network Communications Group Co., China Telecom Europe, China Telecom Corp. and others), to cut international roaming fees by as much as 90%.

CT is trying to get help from all source. Let’s hope, CT wins the wireless business to Chinese citizens living outside.
