Recently LG has announced that their LTE Smartphone has crossed one million sell milestone. This smartphone was launched at the beginning of October last year. 600,000 units of this one have been sold only at South Korea during the first three months. The company claims that The LG Optimus LTE is the world’s 1st commercially available HD Display LTE Superphone, based on available data at the time of release.

When the Optimus LTE was launched in Japan then it was sold over 8,500 units in its first day. It also sold more than 400,000 additional units at Canada and finally at the U.S.

These sales figures brought good news for the company when the company had been struggling to retain its position as the third largest cellphone manufacturer. But they were way behind in competition with the iPhone and Samsung Galaxy.

According to the LG “The striking 4.5 inch true HD IPS display features super-high resolution, brightness and sharpness, and shows natural colours, as they were intended to be seen. Its powerful 1.5GHz dual-core processor runs on the blazing fast 4G LTE network, and has the ability to reach speeds of up to 75 Mbps. Take a glimpse into the future with LG’s Optimus LTE.”
