Yahoo Fires Reseachers And Loses, Facebook and Google Hire Researchers And Gains

The much that we rely on technology to give us better answers and a sense of credibility, the much news and updates about technology industry is uncertain and rumoured. At least about the gadgets we are always eager about, the next iPad or the new iPhone, the next big thing in social media, and what not. The people who run this tech show are also part of it. They sometimes generate the rumour mills and sometimes become the subject of it.

The rumour now has it that Facebook and Google are hiring those researchers which are being fired by Yahoo according to PandoDaily. Already it is now a known approach by Yahoo to cut off its work force to try to do much in little. But when that cutting down of the human resource falls on a research department, then it means that things are really going unpleasant.

The researchers are the brain for a company and in technology industry it is primarily the moving force. Yahoo has in such a bad situation that it is firing out researchers, especially those who work in its New York division. What is Yahoo’s loss is Facebook and Google’s gain. They are both willing to take these less-appreciated researchers hand in hand. Due to the current lawsuit by Facebook against Yahoo, the latter is getting the worst brunt of it all from the technology industry itself.

Another interesting fact to note is that a technology company might stop existing, but researchers, academicians and engineers always go on because from their forward march moves the world and its progress. They are never out of demand and their command is Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg’s desire. Hence, seems like Yahoo’s downfall has started as these brainy people are leaving Yahoo, or rather being asked to leave Yahoo having been fired! Yahoo’s research department described itself as:

“Yahoo! Research is the central advanced research organization of Yahoo! Inc., a leading global Internet brand and one of the most trafficked Internet destinations worldwide. We’re responsible for big inventions– our goals are nothing short of inventing the future of the Internet and creating the next generation of Business for Yahoo!”
